Zenith Purification LLC has been awarded its second research grant from the Department of Energy. Long-range marine transportation is crucial for international trade and the world economy; however, the carbon dioxide released from this industry represents about 3% of global man-made CO₂ emissions. This project aims to conduct a conceptual design and feasibility study of an onboard carbon capture and storage system to decarbonize the long-range marine transportation industry.
